Horizons Suicidal NPC and other strange things.

OK they sent a FAS after my Python. I submitted to interdiction and he rammed me. It took his shield down and I lost two rings. Got him down to 33% and my hull was now at 77% when he disengaged. No mission no cargo.

Suicide eagles. This was a mission. Three eagles interdicted my Python one at each jump. I was expecting to have enemy ships sent against me. One at a time, they never had a chance. Just plain silly.

Federal Gunship interdicted me. I had cargo. I could not boost away from him even with everything to the engines. He maintained distance interval just outside of weapons range. Fortunate my Jump drive was ready to go and I could jump away.

Relentless Anaconda chased my Python all the way to an outpost. I even won the interdiction game once. He attacked me on the landing pad. Under attack, I went inside.

FDL fight. No cargo, no mission. He might have just won this fight if Security didn't show up. He jumped out when they jumped in.

I get interdicted a lot while refueling or just after near the sun. I get interdicted exploring with no cargo, no missions. I even got interdicted while landing on a planet. Sometimes I just want to be left alone. I do more running than fighting now. Why can't you lose an NPC by running out of scanner range then jumping? They always seem to jump the same time I do.

I'm not really complaining just observing the strange behavior of the NPCs.

your comment is absolutely correct

I think, it's just my opinion after 2000 hours in the game, FD developers have a basic problem to solve : an empty stage, a bad guy and a good guy (or not, but is you )

at this point in the game there is only : give me your load, he doesn't want my load (eject load change anything) , he attacks me. In this mold or any other variation of crazy behavior that npcs can execute, so...

are missing stories like: help me and get reward (cargo, exploration, kill )
purchase and sale of special loads, modules, hostages, ....
super rare missions

And shore lack of time to be alone in this game, haaaa. .... blah ... dangerous blá...blá ..blá... leave me alone, stop being boring game.... interdict, interdict, interdict....

I´m already Admiral, King, Elite Combat, Elite Trade and I don't go to be Elite exploration ... I guess. I think I've earned the right to be left alone, I have a giant fleet and money that will never be able to

spend so give me reason to continue playing with great stories, new situations, nice atmosphere, for me and my friends have some fun riding these ships that we love to fly. [alien]

My "favorite" kind of NPC interdiction attempt is when I'm carrying some tiny amount of some near-worthless commodity, on my way to or from an Engineer, when I get that little-bit-too-creepy "look at all that tasty cargo" direct comm... with no other ships visible in the system. If I hang out long enough, scratching my head, the NPC who "sent" the message will eventually appear, usually near a planet.

Another odd one that's happened to me a few times is when I drop out of SC at an outpost, request dock, and am denied. I wait a few to try again, in case the pads are full. While I'm waiting, a pirate NPC drops in right next to me and demands my meager cargo. After either fighting him off or moving into the no fire zone so the station kills him, I'm given permission to land. It's almost like the station knew he was coming and refused to let me land until he was gone.

Ermh, many of the things you describe got fixed and i can confirm it.
Interdiction during fuelscooping? If you scoop 10-15 minutes than yes, it can happen. But the spawn timer for enemys AND their aggro trigger got delays. It's not like old Robigo times anymore. I can easily fill up my Fueltank for a half with class 5 scoop in Python before an already spawned enemy receive his aggro trigger and start chasing me.

Interdiction on planet approach doesn't work anymore. Every running interdiction fails for the chasing one, if you enter the exclusion zone of a planet. If you are already in it, no interdiction happens anymore!

Eagles chasing you for a mission? Yes when taking a 'harmless' mission this is nothing special

Attacking on landing pad......didn't have seen this myself since 2.1.03
I had some powerplay agents from zachary that have attacked me on the landing pad of an outpost in a federal system. But it got fixed with that patch and i've never experienced it again.

All of these above issues are already fixed in 2.2. How old are your stories? :D
But thanks to such things we can see that the Dev's are constantly working on it ;)
