PIcked up a Maverick G3 which already had Night Vision 👓 and Increased Sprint Duration (you can sprint all the way to the elevator ;) ).

Visor descends if you're in a breathable atmosphere.

I picked it up from Schmitt Platform, but don't waste your time. I've tried that with a couple of stations other people picked up G2 or G3 suits from and only found G1 versions available. I'm sure you'll stumble across a station sooner or later, or just upgrade your G1 suit exactly how you want it.

I just thought it would be interesting for people to see what the Night Vision implementation was like on the suit, as we didn't get to see it during the Alpha.

Thanks. So basically it's RNG?

I thought the whole point of this was Fdev wanted people to talk about these locations and so it becomes a sort of emergent community thing? If they are just transient within "the instance" then it's just as I feared: RNG nonesense again and "you must check every Pioneer shop every time you land", which is bad game play.

Having a G3 suit with sprint and NV right now would be an instantaneous upgrade. If it could be shared and benefited from as a communal thing then I'd have seen a lot of benefit in that. If not, it's anti-game play imo.

Not having a pop for you sharing though, it's definitely a nice find. Just a case of hoping the RNG gods look favourably on me before I've already ground it out myself, otherwise it's a pointless entity.

It certainly seems that way as I've not seen anyone post that they've picked up an upgraded suit from a station where someone else had already bought one. I was on the way back from such a wasted journey when I decided to stop off at Schmitt because it was off the beaten track (c. 160,000 Ls from the star), so I figured it was unlikely to have been visited by anyone else yet.

It's just going to be a rule of Odyssey until they change it: Check Pioneer every time you dock. Not a great feature.
