Suit skins

Since I need to spend my arx before the transfer to PC, I thought I'd buy a skin for the suit I do not own, yet. Does any skin work with every suit? There are Dominator skins that look like the Dominator suit but also others that look completely different than any other suit. And I also wonder what the base colors are. If there's a black Dominator suit available as a standard color, I do not need to buy any skins.

Different skins can be bought for each suit type and they cannot be used with a different suit type. Check the store.

Beyond different coloured skins, different designs can be bought. The above is the default.

Are you really sure about that for skins from the Arx store? Just asking because from the "original" suits the extra parts are exchangeable. E.g. I like to fit the PDA thingy from the Maverick (left forearm) also to my Artemis suit. I think it fits the "theme" of an explorer suit to have a PDA mounted on the arm.

For eg @rage607 I own a plainsman pack, I use bits of it across all three suits, they are NOT suit specific. In EDO you can use livery editor to preview all the pack bits you don't already own on your suit too, not sure if this exists in EDH as I haven't touched it since EDO arrived.

Unfortunately there is no option to see things I have not bought. The Plainsman skins do look cool but there is no black one. Other games allow to buy skins and dye them.

True. You might have to disable your arms in gfx settings! I think the blackest was the pioneer pre-order, it's great customisable 'underwear' for some nice #VP, an early-adopter perk like the wireframes for the ships I suppose.

New cosmetics arrive all the time (keeping their interns all busy) so if you do buy wrong at least you can still earn 400 ARX/wk towards the inevitable black friday suit bundle

No, you are right. Some of the skin packs are for all the suits. Some are not. The arx cost is a clue.
