Suit upgrades and flashlight bug

Yesterday I was a lucky winner and found a maverick and dominator grade 3.
Apparently their flashlight do not work. I tested few things with the graphics but no change on the flashlight - I have an icon that it is active but no light

...Just bought a grade 1 Maverick and it has flashlight?

Can anyone with upgraded suit double check this?

Edit: It is actually the pioneer skin that bugs the flashlight on all suits.

Ok, bought second dominator and upgraded it to grade 2 - the flashlight works.

Sad... I thought I've made a good deal buying those grade 3 suits.

The grade 1 Maverick is manufactured by Apple so it has known battery issues. The grade 1 Maverick suit stores the flashlight in the back pocket, and if you sit down, the flashlight case bends causing the battery to fail. Apple fixed it after many consumer complaints so grade 2 Maverick flashlight battery works. Unfortunately, while the grade 1 battery was replaceable, the grade 2 battery is not replaceable and you have to send it back to Apple and pay $1000 for a new grade 2 flashlight.

Ok. Mystery is solved. It is not my lucky suits but Pioneer skin.

Applying Pioneer skin seems to disable the flashlight

But "only" on the Artemis & Maverick suits based on my experience. Removing the skin from either suit makes it work again. As in, the light doesn't switch on despite the flashlight icon being active. I'm kinda speechless at this point.

ok heres the fix for the maverick suit as far as i can tell, just tried this, change the suits colour scheme to the green from the teal it comes with, flashlight works.

yes you do, go into loadouts, customize suit, then select the suit schemes, there will be 3 default color packs and then the pioneer one if you have it

lol yes for some reason changing suit scheme's doesnt seem to result in much changing

thanks for figuring this out. Going to back out all customization, my Dominator suit no flashlight and an intentional power down to trap NPCs resulted in a tense 30 minutes hunting for a door by waving the damn energylink around and stumbling in the dark....worse yet with the flashlight "on" the AI NPCs could see me to shoot at me just fine.
