Summarizing Dinosaur Cohabitation "Likes" and "Dislikes"

I myself haven't played the game yet as I still haven't gotten a new computer just yet. But I have learned about how the "Likes" and "Dislikes" system works.

I feel that at first glance, the names "likes" and "dislikes", and how they work, may have confused some people as to how it really works. I think at first glance, it would give the first impression that "Likes" of a dinosaur species inherently means which dinosaurs can get along with one another peacefully. That, however, is absolutely, not at all true, as "Liked" species can also include those that can fight, hunt, or pack hunt another each other.

First off, dinosaurs in-game have a territory system. Every dinosaur contributes to another species' territory in some way, depending on the specific species. This is the "Cohabitation" part for the dinosaur's territory. The more species a dino's territory has, the lower their cohabitation meter gets, and if it goes into the red zone, they start to become less content and stressed, which can make them dangerous. "Likes" are dinos that don't contribute to a specie's cohabitation mater, but that doesn't always mean a "liked" species will also like the other equally, as it may still contribute to the other's cohabitation meter. Dislikes are those that a dino species can't ever tolerate within their territory, not even by a little bit.

The role of a dinosaur's "Likes" and "Dislikes" only determines which species 100% can tolerate the other's presence in their territory with zero cohabitation depletion risks (Likes), and which species 100% cannot tolerate the other's presence in their territory with inherent cohabitation red zone risks (Dislikes), regardless of whether or not which species can harm or interact with one another. Nothing more.

As far as I'm aware, there is nothing that clarifies this in-game, and since cohabitation within a dinos' territory is an essential thing whenever so, it might get confusing at first glance to realize that "Likes" are not the same as "dinos that can get along peacefully".

My personal best way to figure things out about this, to also plan some ideas in mind ahead of time until then, is through this website I found sometime ago: https://www.paleo.gg/games/jurassic-world-evolution-2
