Summary of the Collectibles Q&A with Sandro

Hello Commanders!

Don't worry: no harm no foul. I have to be allowed a little joke every now and again! :D

The truth is that, say, for something like the rank requirement of the Federal Corvette, well, it's not going to cause any crazy issues whichever rank it needs, plus it can be changed relatively easily, which is why we can afford to leave it relatively late, and also why not everyone needs to know at all times.

As it happens, it's likely that the rank requirement for this ship and the Cutter will be very high - near the top of the naval rank chain.

Thank you for the reply, Sandro. :)

Guess Sandro likes to make ppl suffer? IDK, lol This is quite the chore with the current seemingly broken system. At least on the Fed's side. Turned in over 30 high rep missions without a single promo mission in Exbeur. IDK if that's normal or not. Either way nothing to do but just keep grinding, cuz yes I want that corvette.

Just as a reminder for those working on their ranks:

There is a hidden number that requires missions and trade to be run...over and above charity missions. You can move the chain faster if you trade or run missions AND do charity missions.

When you say trade, do you mean trade missions or just trade in general?

Trade missions, because you need to do missions for the Federal/Imperial faction at that station in order to get the promotion missions

Trade also helps...missions moreso.

I never run Federation missions...ever...they can rot.

I am still Lieutenant.

Sorry for the unintentional troll! All About That Bass...has nothing to do with anything in this thread! LOL!

As an Elite Admiral King :)D), my question is rather what will those beauties cost, and not just the price at the shipyard, but the full A-grade combat package. I know the answer is "lots" but that is a very relative term. To most players, 50 million is already lots, to others, that word has no meaning below half a billion. Obviously neither ship will go for 50m, but hopefully not 500, either.

Hail to the Elite Admiral King, baby !

..
.we've got multi-crew coming, that's proved to be very interesting with the different options we're looking at and as part of that it only makes sense that we look at NPCs at the same time
Now I'm really excited. :)

Good to know. I hope it's not THE top of the naval ranks, as you'd expect whoever (Cmdr or NPC) commands the capital ships to have a higher rank?

The final decision on the rank requirements may not have been made yet. FD are likely to be waiting to see how OP these ships prove to be in Beta and the outcome of any nerfing or buffing that follows before comitting to a particular rank.

"coming, no ETA"
"don't know"
"won't tell you more now"
"there is much more coming"
"it's on the list"

great summary.

I like the "don't know" answers from the Lead Designer of the game. If you don't know, who the heck does? Does Lead Designer mean something different in the UK?

Q: who the heck does?

A: Well briefly, sir, he is the lead designer, known as the Permanent lead designer. Now we also have the principal lead designer. Who is working for the main lead designer, who has a private sectary and she is actually the Principal Private Secretary to the Permanent Secretary. Directly responsible to the lead designer are ten Deputy Secretaries, 14 Under Secretaries and 40 Assistant Secretaries. Directly responsible to the Principal Private Secretaries are plain Private Secretaries, and the CEO (DB) will be appointing two Frontier Development Under-Secretaries.

Non of these people know the answer, we have to ask one of the minions who refer to the mistress, and no one knows where she is at the moment. I hope this will answer you question Sir..
