So, any ideas when the summer DLC will be announced? Ideas of when it may drop? I had assumed it'd be mentioned this morning, but I'm not so sure now

It may very well be announced or, more likely, teased in some way before announcement. Assuming there will be something this Summer, the earliest of an announcement and/or teaser, which ever may come first, is anytime this month on a week day this month. Frontier aren’t totally active as they are on those days on weekends. They also don’t necessarily tease or announce on a specific day range or something like that as opposed to a PDLC release date range.

When will it come? Hope the free update wasn't all to expect for this summer.
I think July is the latest of when they might do such a thing. Because I think August is too late and they might want to continue marketing the latest DLC before the next which no doubts would be September at earliest. They market their PDLCs and big free updates all over their social media channels in their own ways for a long period of time before the next ones. Yes, there was the Dr. Wu expansion and Cretaceous dino pack timespan between them for JWE1, but that's waaay in the past now and things change over time.

What she, and so many I've seen, fails to realize is "packs" can also include "Expansion Packs." I know Frontier's titles for their DLCs are pretty restrictive, but "Expansions DLCs" and "Expansion Pack DLCs" are synonymous. It's a common term and approach used in the entire game world of developers, publishers, marketers, and players alike. There's no earthly reason not to say Frontier don't ever use such a term and/or approach in one way or another.
As a result, since I still do currently believe it to be an expansion pack for the summer, the earliest guess is this month and the latest in July. Of the three ideas I've speculated on here before in the forums, Camp Cretaceous and Site B seem more probable to me.
It's also worth noting that, I've said it before but I'll say it again, the free 30th update feels a lot like JWE1's free dino updates where they are their own independent thing, giving spotlights to their respective shows their dinosaurs are from with few bug fixes and nothing else beyond those, showing how adhering and cohesive their Jurassic media-based stuff is. It also seems like it has a little additional marketing as I've seen on their Twitter account, more than the JWE1 dino updates from what I can remember.

There is a sale on steam till July 13. Wouln't be suprised if this will be the release date for rhe summer dlc. Would be disappointing if the 30th anniversary update was all for thus summer.
Now we are in July and No DLC or Animal Pack in sight.
If the 30th anniversary upddate was the usual free update, there should be An Animal pack Or themed DLC this month.
If its like that the 30th anniversary update was a nice free update, but if frontier skips Paid Animal Pack or A Big Payed DLC for this few decorations i guess a lot Of Parkbuilders will be very Disapointed !
Planet Zoo got 8 New Species in its Summer DLC 23 !!! ....JWEII Parkbuilders got nothing like that.
Even Evo pionted out in one of her last videos that, if no Animal Pack or bigger DLC ( with at least 1 new Attraction) will come soon too, it would show the 30th anniversary update in an other ,.....much darker light !

Honestly, that 30th anniversary update is an outrageous joke. There should be some species added to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Jurassic Park movie adaptation.
What surprises me the most is that Planet Zoo doesn't sell as much as JWE and yet has so many additions....
Planet Zoo gets more attention because they don't have any IP restrictions. It's also their main Lifestyle Builder that they get all the clout from Big YouTubers with.
What I want to see most of all with the next update for JWE2, if/when we get it, is bug fixes.

I do not know who else here plays Planet Zoo. I am not sure anyone here is aware of this: the modern animals we know of are not eye-catching in any world. Care to take a guess why living breathing dinosaurs in another world can get certain people's attention?
There is no telling what new species will be added in Jurassic World: Evolution 2.
Their 30th themed marketing session appears to be over because, but I don't know since when exactly it did become so, their banner on their Twitter account (and it's the only social media platform I follow them on) has switched back to the Feathered Species Pack banner.
Keep in mind also, the 30th anniversary celebrations for Jurassic Park in general are far from over, and there will be more PDLCs within that time as implied elsewhere, just not themed around it of course as Frontier themselves said.

If Microceratus, Hadrosaurus, and/or Segisaurus are added in Jurassic World: Evolution 2; I would have reenacted Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis' "Jurassic Classic" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park film.
Even if that update is for free, I cannot make a Jurassic-Park-type park in the Sandbox gameplay because those species are missing.
I am not going to have high hopes for Hadrosaurus and/or Segisaurus.
May I remind you that we are still demanding Microceratus since its appearance in the film Jurassic World: Dominion.
The 30th anniversary celebration will be over in 2024.

If JWE II really get no other DLC with at least 4 new Species, than the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park celebration was a Bad Joke for all JWE II fans !
We didn´t get a lot of the JP Buildings of RTJP DLC from JWE I and didn´t get any new Attraction or Species Pack ( JP novel or movie related would have been nice Dinos )!
The other Free updates of JWE II came every time with either an Big Story DLC or at least 4 New Species !
I think a lot of Players that first were happy about that "additional" 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park celebration with new JP Decos are really dissapointed nowthat it seems to be all we get of new stuff this whole Summer instead !
I really hope that I´m wrong and Frontier has some sort of DLC in July 2023 , but if not than I for myself wished Frontier had given us the usual Free update with a Paid DLC with much more content then this few JP Deco items,...... and the best JP Buildiings of RTJP like JP Greenhouse or the RTJP Aviary ( with its nice rocks,Caged walkways, cliffs ,waterfalls and foggenerator ! ) were still not in the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park celebration Pack !
The Jeeps of RTJP looked much more Like the JP Movie versions too, and that skins for our JWE II would have been so cool !

Anybody here remember that a beef cattle was fed to Velociraptor in the Jurassic Park film? Beef cattle can be used as alternative prey dispensed from the live prey feeder for the hunting carnivores besides the nine from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
