This is good to know I wonder what they have up there sleeve. Is there a date set yet for the update? And will it be a free update or DLC?

If Frontier continue with the numbering as before, then the next update should be the version 1.7. This means for me, that after the updates in autumn (1.8) and in winter (1.9) next year Planet Coaster 2 would have to follow. Pure speculation, but possible. [rolleyes]

Hmm, if the numbering is correct I doubt it, It will probably just move on to 1.10, then 1.11 and so on.
It can always go to 2.0, but that would imply a major update or a different game, which I doubt will happen.

I don't think that planet coaster 2 will be released that quickly, but something i do hope is that 1.9 brings mod support and ends official support from the devs.So that they concentrate on planet coaster 2 and we can mod planet coaster like rct3.

Planet Coaster definitely needs mod support. I would welcome it with open arms. I hope the next update or DLC is more focused on Flat Rides. For example I would like to see a DLC pack for Family/Kiddie Rides.

If PC would be moddable, and a PC2 would come out, It's sales would be ruined before it even started. Because why buy PC2 when you can mod PC1?

And that is, why I don't see a PC2 coming on the shorter and the longer terms. It would be a big mistake if you look at how much content they already made and added.
PC is clearly made for the long term.

I can see for games like shooters, and RPG's that launching an game every now and then makes up for more profit as it's content changes and the storyline as well.
While gameplay stays the same with the majority of that games.

If Frontier would bring out PC2 it would be the same game, same content, the only real change would be the controls and mechanics where everybody struggles with, so they would be competing against themselves.

Doesn't mean I don't feel the same way about some improvements of course.

I 2nd this! We have plenty of coasters and are in need of more flat rides ingame and stalls. More transportation and water rides are welcome too! Chairlift, elevators, and Giant Flume would be appreciated. [big grin]

I like the idea of things that have been mentioned so far but i'd also like some changes to sandbox mode mainly with the option to turn off guests thoughts and also a bit of tidying up with some of the scenery item for example the display boards with characters pictures on, I wish they would just be turned into one billboard sign but the images included in the image selection. I really don't see the point in there being four of them.

Also I wish they would include all the same building items when it comes to the textures i hate trying to build something and a certain shape or piece isn't available in the same texture.

Speculatively speaking, if they are going to continue with their current release cycle, which is in line with last year, we can "expect" it to be released around w/c June 25th.. Whatever that is..

Remember that the Release of JWE might mess with this Schedule. So, nobody knows when it will be released.

But maybe it´s possible for Frontier to make bigger DLC´s, when the people from the JWE-Team work on new PC-DLC´s.

When it´s right that the Studiopack was a Steam-Bestseller Planet Coaster DLC´s must be a cash cow for Frontier. I think it brings Frontier more money to release bigger DLC for more money as make a new game. And when JWE are a Bestseller too, Frontier make JWE DLC´s. But before, they can make for july/august a very big PC DLC with the people from the JWE-Team.

How about PC 2.0 being an engine and lighting engine update to original PC making it like new. With mod support, and blackjack, and hoo... oh uh... MOD SUPPORT!
