Super Cheap Hauler Explorer Build (with caveats)

Hi Cmdrs,
I think this may end up being contentious, but here is my "Super Cheap", Sub 500K Cr, Hauler Explorer Build for the cost conscious or new players wanting a trip into the void:

I try to justify and explain my choices but feel free to critique as necessary.

I actually use something rather similar as my personal transport between my various ships parked at trading hot-spots, hunting hot-spots and the 'new commander' location. The Hauler's modestly priced, has decent heat management (even with a D or C plant) and, while it's not quite so inexpensive, it's so much faster than the Sidewinder for zipping about, saving me lots of time when it comes to popping back to greet and assist new players.

Anyway, nice and informative. I wonder if some entrepreneurial soul has taken a Hauler to Sgr A* yet?

Yeah a nice cheap little starter build for an explorer. I'd fit an extra 2C tank myself in that spare slot.

I'm guessing the caveat is the lack of an Advanced Discovery Scanner? Which would obviously take the price up to about 2 million.

But for the budget conscious explorer that build is just the ticket.

Yeah. The ADS is the obvious one. I do try and justify the build decisions, but I do not advise taking the standard scanner unless you can not help it.
