Super Cruise Assist-BROKEN Againt NPC/PLAYER Interdictions

I'm grinding the engineers again ATM. Have to say I'm loving the docking computer and supercruise assist. SA is especially useful. Ironically it is literally broken in the way you want it to be

The module is a joke and it only runs you at 75% speed or whatever, just as worthless as the docking assist that will destroy you or other ships without hesitation or try docking you on top of another ship endlessly... but thats a whole nother bug! Clearly people are expecting to much from the people that cant even center a mouse widget in the HUD.
Worth noting that it runs at 75% throttle, not 75% speed. Someone here did some timing tests and concluded that it makes hardly any difference to the overall arrival time. I haven't recorded timings myself, but my experience seems to agree with this.

Ever since the new modules came out, I have noticed with increase activity that the module Super Cruise Assist is broken especially when being interdicted by NPCs. Since there is absolutely NO counter measures against them I am declaring this to be a BROKEN game mechanic as such. I had foolishly thot this would counter interdictions but no I was proven wrong.

Evasive actions have resulted in this module to be worthless to the point I am unfitting it on all my ships and trashing it. It was a nice try FD, but you have to come up with something much better than this plus you need to provide some kind of module we can use to counter interdictions either by NPCs and/or players, this has gone too far for too long and may result my leaving ED, thanks.
You're so right, similarly I am disgusted that the new Advanced Docking Computer doesn't automatically prevent my coffee going cold when I left it in the other room and forgot about it and then noticed it later and now it's cold and I'm so angry. Uninstalling.

I think we all missed this guys point, these modules suck. Are they better than nothing? Yeah of course even I use them on my big slow transports, used them both a lot when I found out after I mined the 50 units of whatever for that engineer in Alioth that the system was locked... Sat next door running a T9 back and forth because I never found any bribes and really didn't feel like mining it again when that moved my rep enough to avoid the horrible missions. These modules should have been standard features like they are on every game out there(yes even games that are only about flying planes or ships, its 3000 something and they have nothing? lol ), nope gotta waste very limited slots on not just one but one each if you want docking and assist. I guess I don't see the point of making this game more miserable than it is, these are features that could take some of the pain away instead they just add to the frustration. Should they be able to avoid interdiction? That's easy, no. The more I find out about this game the less I want to play it, back to the oldies I guess... ill find someone to give my account to and save them from paying to suffer this bug ridden mess of a game. I made it a month, unlocked every guardian module, a bunch of guns, most of the engineers, made billions, tons of ships all just trying to give this game a chance.. but let me tell ya from a new player point of view, this game is no fun to play over 50% of the time. Not even a magnetar to go visit let alone anything else fascinating.. Im done with these forums too, this seems a good post to end on.. Thanks to all those that helped me along this mess. -TP

Love it when people get something wrong then people reply with an over exagerated post about how upset someone is ... the guy made a simple mistake and the place fills with weebs making silly remarks.

It's not his error I am commenting (feel free to completely ignore that fact), but coming here to the forums with that attitude and misconsept, and blame the game and FDev for his error.

Have a good day

Unless you are traveling a long way, I believe it adds a significant amount of time to a Hutton Orbital run. For short distances between bodies close together it shouldn't because most of the time your speed is limited by the local gravity well and not the throttle settings, so whether you are running at 75% or 100% throttle doesn't matter, you can't go any faster anyway. But for long runs such as Hutton Orbital there's a considerable time where you are running outside local gravitational influence and accelerating at 75% throttle means not reaching the maximum possible speed between the two points.

The Super cruise assist is great for exploration ,main feature is the throttle cutoff , it helps you to stop right before crashing into the sun especially when you are drink driving, half asleep or stone. it works great for hutton trip too, use to spend 45min to get there , but have to adjust the aiming point on hutton every 5 min or so, now i could take a short name of 1 hours and it's still pointing at hutton with 15min to spare.

AAdock is a luxury , the time it clear the crowded station is just nice for making a pot of coffee or a dump for it to exit , a less crowded one station take a cigarette or pee break.
