I was thinking it'd be fun to have the option of installing a super duper hyperdrive that can make jumps of up to 2000ly.
However, the caveat is that it can only be used, say, thrice, because it uses special fuel that has to be preloaded and because if engine burnout after three jumps.
Also, the further the target, the less accurate the drive, so you could end up way off course.
And, of course, there's a small percentage chance that it could cause damage to your ship on each jump.. a max of 25% per jump say, just for that added risk.
If it cost something along the lines of 10m credits, I think it'd be quite popular.
