Horizons Supercharged FSD

I just jumped into a system with one of those blue/white stars with the long trailing tails, right in the middle of the jet, and thought from what I'd read elsewhere that I was sure to get destroyed, but got a message saying that my FSD was supercharged.

There was 1% damage to the FSD, but the jump range had been boosted from about 25ly max, to just short of 40 ! The boost only lasted for one trip, but I'd not had that happen before. Is this something new, or something that's been around for a while and I've just not experienced it ?

Dont know but it id bugged. The plotted course does not calculate the new first distance. You can chose the option but wont work. So useless.

New to v2.2. You aren't supposed to jump directly into the jets; that is a bug. The supercharged feature is legit. It is for one jump and doesn't stack with jump boosting material injection. Pick your 40ly-ish destination on the map, go dance with the Neutron Devil, get supercharged, get out of the jet, flick on the map and the route will straighten out into one jump (if in range).

I think you're getting ripped off. The NS supercharge should net about a 300% gain.

Why is it in the plotted course menu then?

Same deal as with Synthesis, it allows you to simulate the range based on your current ships mass/fuel load. Has nothing to do with plotting a multi jump route.

Quite a few of us have been asking for both types of boosts to factor multi jump plotting, It's not something the devs seem to want to implement right now. It would make the Neutron highways much faster to traverse.

Synthezising jumponium at the same time you get NS Supercharge from one of those things, might give you jumprange to Andromeda.
