(Supercruise Assist) New Function - Formation/Follow

I do like the new supercruise assist module.
A handy feature for wings (or just stalking any old ship) would be an option to toggle supercruise assist to form up on the tail of your target, and it manages your throttle and does some steering to match theirs.

This would be particularly handy when following wingmen in to USSs/NHSSs that we can't see (thus, can't target to help manage our speed).

It could also be used to "escort" NPC's through supercruise, which could then open up some gameplay options around that.

Or, you could just tail any old ship and see where you end up. Lol

Thoughts?

For wing mates that what you have nav lock for. Formation I'm supercruise isn't as important as being able to drop quickly on your wing mate if he or she gets pulled from SC.

That will be the hyperspace dethrottle function now available in the functions panel, not the SCA module.
You only get this option in the functions panel, if you have the SCA module installed.
Also it dethrottle only on stars after a hyperspace jump not at stations after Supercuise, which makes it kind of useless when you not pay attention in the right moment and then crashing in the station.

Not useless, if u dont pay attention its your fault not the system, actually if u do what u are saying i see rebuy screen in your future for sure from interdictions u missed...

So what is it for?
If they would tell the beginners in the Tutorials, that they have to watch for the 7 sec Range and adjust the speed to hold it at 7, then they wouldn't need that thing.
With it you learn nothing about the mechnic behind it.

Its a matter of preference, it can be something that isnt your cup of tea and u dont need to use it if u dont want to, or it could be priceless for someone else.
Ive been using it, and i can tell you, its now a must have on my explorer ship, been mapping system in such a quick way now that before i would do about only half of what i can do now with this system, and it is good to avoid 1st off to crash into a planet, does the aproach to a station, and on those since its space that has other players and npcs that are pirates u need to pay attention anyway, it will drop u at the currect angle and speed near a station, where i just request the landing and set zero throttle and the ADC does the rest, very nice.

As a explorer believe me, this SC assist in a system with 20+ bodies, its a big help to get to all and mapp, especially when u are already tired and prone to mistakes.

Apparantly a lot of new players complained about bumping into stars. Instead of learning how to not bump into stars they wanted a function that would not let them bump into stars, that's all. Ok I just did 340kly around the galaxy and didn't bump into a star once, so it does seem to me to be an over zealous application of hand holding, but that's just me, other players may think differently.

Okay, never mind, if is for you usefull I don't complain about it.. for newbies.. na, I don't know because they have a hard time to find the option where to activate the SCA system, because they don't know, that they have to go in the navigation tab first and activate it for the destination.
If you speak or understand german then I have good sample for a noob who inform hisself only from the game directly and the comments from his youtube channel.
