Supercruise distance countdown scale

Seems to me, changing scale from Ls to Mm should happen earlier, perhaps at around 0.30 Ls, which equals 90 Mm.

As it stands now, the numbers cease to change at a certain point on approach because the scale changes so late.

I think this would make for a very nice QoL change, especially for newer players.

That's not the reason the number stop changing. I did a long explanation on another thread before, but the numbers stop changing because the time scale for arrival is an instance based calculation, ie: at any one time at the current speed it will take you X seconds to get to the station, but because you are decelerating at the same time the instance calculation remains the same, so you will sit on 7 seconds to arrive at the station for far longer than one second because the game is calculating a moving target.

It's complicated and it was a long discussion so I don't want to reproduce it all here, but the measurement scale isn't relevant to the issue.

I think that he is talking about the distance scale saying how far away you are not the ETA counter. I think he is saying that it should change the units when you are farther away so you don't have the Ls scale stay "unchanging" and then quickly cycle through Mm before it goes to Km. Please correct me OP if I got that wrong.
