Ships Supercruise Overcharges Use Cases

It's not a meta if everyone can get one for a reasonable cost. It's simply a new baseline. It's a rebalance, and it was badly needed.

Given Odyssey was entirely focused on surface gameplay AND the war effort benefits from it too, you should really be asking why this wasn't put in place two years ago so that people could actually get to, from, on, and off planets without so much dead time that Supercruise Assist became necessary.
Possibly the looming Hadad bombing runs....

There are new game designers that work on ED with fresh and good ideas such as this and Powerplay 2.
The previous game designers who approved the tiresome and repetitive grind, tedious engineer stuff, and slow space travel, moved to other projects.
Agree whoever came up with this in 2023 and is deploying it in 2024 is doing a great job on ideas and gameplay. (We do know at least one of the devs involved is a senior who has since left)

We should note in fairness to the early developers that a lot of ED history is design by committee and the "committee" is/was Kickstarters and early adopters who can't articulate what they really want and then complain even when they do get things they want. If you had the literal six best developers in the world working in 2020 they would still have struggled in that environment.

What pretentious nonsense!

The above quote from you is of course only your opinion. I'm a Kickstarter and can articulate very clearly what I want, also to date I have not complained about any of the changes that I backed/agreed with. Don't be so judgmental of others and make generalized statements unless they're backed up with facts.
