Stations are supposed to point in the direction of the object they orbit around. But it is both hard to align properly in the first place, and even if you do, 95% of all stations have significant deviation from that desired orbit, sometimes close to 90°. While I do not propose to point every station perfectly at the planet, it would be nice to have some form of aid when approaching.
The computer knows the station's orbit and position, so it wouldn't be a super far stretch to say the computer doesn't know it's orientation. Either have some point in space marked for approach or display some sort of line or cone, similar to the SLF docking, or show the hologram in the station's orientation instead of a generic station icon.
