Horizons Superpower rep lagging?

My rep with Federation, Empire, and Allied contnues to languish at exactly 75% in each case, in spite of having done ±200MCr worth of bus runs for the local factions, with whom I'm pretty solidly allied.

Do passenger missions not count towards superpower rep, or is there something else I'm not doing?

Hmmm. Yeah, this occurred to me too recently, I've been stuck at 70-something% with the Feds for a while now despite doing fed faction missions. My fed rank score is going up though, so...

The same here, but in my case, it's forced my rank to permanently stagnate, too. I'm in Federation territory in stations where the foremost factions are allied to the Federation and I'm fully allied to them. The rank just never moves.

The most likely reason is that superpower reputation decays when you aren't playing the game, so if you start at 75% and play a session and your rep goes up to say 78%, when you log out, that rep decays back a little, but if you are out of game for a couple of days, it'll just drop back to 75% (it never decays below that).

It's supposed to happen very slowly, but in my experience it actually decays pretty quickly.

The other thing to note, is that the faction must be a federation aligned one to affect superpower rank, and in many federation systems, only one or two factions are actually federation aligned.

I've been playing pretty regularly for the past few weeks, but there has been no change to my superpower rep.

Faction rep did decay a bit when I was not playing for a brief spell, but that's all back to allied in almost all cases.

Specifically, I am allied to those factions at this particular starport which are Federation-aligned and Empire-aligned.

I guess it depends on how regularly and for how long. Superpower reputation doesn't necessarily move up quickly (a good test is to hand in federation bounties, you should see a pretty substantial bump for that), even by doing missions. If you play for a couple of hours, and then log off for the rest of the day, your superpower rep may not increase as the decay for logging off seems to negate any progress you made if that progress was small, say 1 or 2 percent. That at least is my experience.

Minor faction rep should only decay if you do something to upset that faction, such as fail missions. Just because you are allied to mine factions who are aligned with a superpower won't affect your superpower rep.

It's worth noting that superpower rep is pretty insignificant at the moment, and has no in-game advantage, at least not between friendly and allied. You should still see your federal rank increase by completing missions even though your superpower reputation may not change.

And just like that... BAM! The game finally gave me a rank progression mission!

It's been a long time coming, that's for sure, but I'm glad it finally happened. Now I can begin making my way towards that Federal Assault Ship I've been waiting legal permission for.
