supersizeme menus

As thread title. Forum won't let me upload jpeg but when opening system map from gal map the starting system map animation that sits in the middle of the screen is double the size it was previously.
 
Field of view doesn't seem to effect menus anymore. So if yours is set high then the menus will all appear bigger.
 
I get that but why 'fix' it in the first place when it was aesthetically perfect before. Hopefully an oversight :)

Edit: Surely if I''m using a higher FOV (ie 70) then menu elements should appear smaller as everything else does?

BTW don't mean to be short with you.

Hopefully an oversight...

The main menu, pause menu and sys map loading widget used to scale with FOV and render with a smaller size (or higher effective resolution) when it was higher, now they all look to be the same size whatever your FOV and be roughly the size they would have appeared with a low FOV value before. It's not good - I exited straight out of the main menu, checked and reloaded three times after the upgrade before I even started the game because I thought my manually edited config file for a larger FOV than the top of the slider had gotten b0rked.
 
Exactly what I did, it totally threw me (along with the HUD clock which will drive me potty). An amazingly smooth update otherwise. Thanks for your patience, time for bed methinks.
