Support Development

I do not like the so called micropay downloadable upgrade features. Those will be only good to people who are rich and have load of money to buy them. Buyable mdl's will destroy the balance of the game for sure and leave the common players smoking hot for better guns to fight with. From that point forward quit ratio of that kind of game is very high and it is not very player friendly approach to keep the game running. I've seen it happen in other games. With MDLs, the rich people become the power and they will rule their surrounding areas with cash, not with skills and determination. - Those with power will pay anything to keep it, to keep their space empty from competition. This means they pay to make players quit playing in their area.

However. I do think that it is fair that we get to support game development by cash if we want. We could pay for features being developed into the game. People could give ideas and support these steps with cash. This way we could vote what is important with cash to feature. - For example if we want aliens into the game, we go to site and vote aliens with 2 euros and that will surely boost frontier to get people work in that area. Not everyone needs to pay but those who want to get fast progression could pay. When the feature is ready it will be equal to all players.

Thank you.

Thumbs up for this! - Those who payed with cash should get bonus ship paintings or something that will not affect the game balance.

If you want to support the game financially buy some merchandise or a paint pack or something. The in game paint packs don't impact gameplay at all, and they've explicitly said there will never be pay to win items in game (a-la world of tanks).

I'm thoroughly confused about where this talk of micro-transactions has come from. Have I missed something important?
But this website idea. Is it paid DLC that you vote for? I'm all up for players having input into shaping the game but to demand payment to vote on ideas seems a bit odd. Especially because the grand majority aren't game designers so things that I think would be cool (rocket-powered space dinosaurs anyone?) wouldn't work for the game.
But people have paid to vote so FD would feel obliged to do as we demand. I say let them develop the game and buy any DLC that they bring out to fund them that way.

Yep, I am buying their merchandises.

People can always give suggestions, but the direction can be made by DEV. The options to vote for can be controlled.

Is this about Elite Dangerous at all?
It does not sound like it is. There are no unbalancing "micropay downloadbel upgrade features".
Nobody wants that, most importantly not even FD wants that.

Ok. Rocket powered space dinosaurs. Well, dinosaurs are species of their era. If they have somehow managed to make space ships which can fly, and they are well made to fit into game, we got aliens unlike you predicted. - Who said the space ship would look like T-Rex?

Wait and see where the game goes, they've got a 10 year dev plan I believe and they're only at the start of it. We have a suggestions sub forum if people have ideas they think could be implemented but I'm pretty sure (or I bloody hope) that FD know where they want to go and when they want to personally assassinate me via Thargoid invasion.

So you don't want people to pay to win, but you do want people to pay to have the game developed the way they want it ?

Uhh?
What do you use to translate your text?
It might be me, but I don't get this at all.

Yea, the experience is not based from Elite Dangerous. But the idea forward does aim for Elite. - I've seen games being destroyed by wrong way of DEV.

- Well, I don't want players to pay for win. But I do support the idea that players could boost DEV with controlled options.

I need some milk and cookies ...

I buy at least one skin pack a month even for ships I am never going to use , because the devs are that awsome

I don't know what's going on at all at all. But now I really want rocket-powered space dinosaurs.. :(

This whole thread seems to be rather confused, and not to have any connection to Elite Dangerous.

Moving to Off Topic for those interested in pursuing the rocket-powered space dinosaur idea :D
