Objective: Hand in Anomalous Bulk Scan Data and Unusual Encrypted Files​

Description
Rival candidates have requested deliveries of data to help secure their bids to lead the Marlinist Consulate.​

The Marlinist Colonies are voting for who will be elected as their prime consul. This influential role will diplomatically represent all Marlinists and make broad decisions on their behalf.​
​
The first candidate is Verity Dexter from the Marlinism Reformation Party, which is acting as the NMLA political wing. She has the support of Senator Lorcan Scordato to be made an Imperial patron:​
I am in a unique position to finally provide our people with a voice in the Imperial Senate, and to speak for Neo-Marlinists. As prime consul, I will negotiate a permanent peace with the NMLA.

The second candidate, Kayode Tau of the Free Marlinist Movement, is focused on sustaining the Marlinist Colonies:​
Neo-Marlinism and terrorism have no place within our republican ideals. I will strive to keep our systems independent, and to protect the rights of peaceful Marlinists everywhere.

In order to support Kayode Tau and exclude NMLA representation, he has requested deliveries of anomalous bulk scan data and unusual encrypted files to Tilman Point in the Hyades Sector Ro-P B6-6 system.​

The Alliance, Empire and Federation have recognised the Marlinist Consulate as an ambassadorial body, and agreed that the election of its prime consul is a strictly internal matter.​
​
The initiative begins on the 15th of July 3307 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, this campaign will end immediately.​
Should both initiatives be completed to the same tier, the one with the highest contribution will be designated the victor.​
​
To earn rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in anomalous bulk scan data and unusual encrypted files to Tilman Point in the Hyades Sector Ro-P B6-6 system.​
​
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.​
​

The Dark Wolf Marlinists have always been supporters of peaceful Free Marlinism. We have no desire of returning to or reforming the Empire. We have worked very hard to keep Neo-Marlinists out of the colonies and will continue to do that by supporting Kayode Tau. We encourage all freedom loving Cmdrs to do the same (and Imperial Cmdrs who don't want terrorists in the Imperial Senate).

This seems like a textbook case of the NMLA movement being co-opted - so if you hate the NMLA and want to see them destroyed then supporting the other CG would be wisest?

A radical group is likely to lose support/members or splinter further if it tries to take more moderate actions, such as this politics thing. The senators for both groups would mostly be representing their own interests anyway.

One candidate supports keeping the Marlinist Colonies peaceful and independent. The NMLA candidate supports terrorism and overthrowing the Emperor. The Empire would then have someone openly killing people to get rid of the Emperor in the Senate.

Supporting Dexter says you and also the Empire are ok with the NMLA's murder of over 500,000 people.

I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying the NMLA would be sacrificed to the Marlinists or that the Free Marlinists would be sacrificed to the Imperial Senate?

Ok but ..

T1 mats, however trivial, are still way more valuable than the insignificant amount of credits they may generate in this CG and, more importantly, my time to replenish. At least to me, and I expect a lot of people. Being a multi multi billionaire these days is pretty common so credits don’t matter to me in the slightest. Mats cannot be purchased with credits, they are purchased with time.

Unless we get a repeat of the hudson/Winters CG. TBH the double engineered module was just a light finger on the scale, what really caused the massive Baumkuchen-fest was when it started to become apparent that the credit rewards of the top 50% would be multiple billions
