Support Larger Fighter bays to hold Sidewinders/Eagles as fighters for the 'Conda Cutter Corvette

Definitely support this idea. Whether or not it happens though I wont loose any sleep over. If ships like Cutters or a Corvette/Anaconda can hold eagles or sidewinders, then they could be used as fighter support or in minor logistics tasks where these bigger ships cant dock at small stations. Right?

I would disagree. the problem is that these ships already are quite capable on their own. Switching out fighters for actually useful ships is somewhat pushing it. And IMO a tad too far.
Sidewinder I think would be ok for the current big 3. My hope is that we'd eventually get ships big enough to launch my Icourier.
I always figured the current limitation on fighter deployment was to work out technical/balance issues and as such wouldn't expect to see any of this for some time though.

No. They're just too large, simple as that.
I propose that we have smaller, fuzzy versions of our own ships as fighters.
I think this would be a good idea - and a great way to make otherwise obsolete ships like the Sidey useful - but a couple of caveats I'd suggest:
1. Should probably only be non jump capable versions of the Sidewinder and Eagle - probably non upgradable as well (perhaps a 'flight deck ready' version?)
2. Only 1 per bay - your Sidey gets blown up, you'll have to go and get another from a station. Makes sense that you wont be able to print these ships unlike the fighters, and also means that there will still be advantages and disadvantages so it wont obsolete the smaller fighters.

I support this. In fact, in one of the Official books I read, it mentions Sidewinders being Launched from an Anaconda.
This is true, the in game description for the Anaconda says it can carry a Sidewinder class fighter. But, I doubt it will ever happen due to balancing purposes

Didn't vote, because I don't necessarily oppose the idea, but the Sidewinder for example is significantly larger than any fighter. Think about how the Taipan has to fold to fit inside its bay. You'd have to make some drastic changes to the motherships' models to make it work, and if you really want to play it realistic, those motherships wouldn't be able to hold much else on board. I don't see any advantage in doing this.
As said earlier the official lore says the Anaconda can carry a Sidewinder (nothing larger). As it is now, the fighter bays seem to have their own manufacturing capabilities, which would take up a lot of space that could instead be cleared out for just a ship.
Yes the Conda should be able to launch Sidey's. It's right there in the in game description.
I'm fine with just one then have to rebuy, not printing Sidey's as we do fighters.
Hopefully in future we'll see dedicated Carrier type craft. A few medium hard points but capable of launching a fighter wing.

This would be interesting, but I'd much rather see new types of fighters along the lines of the awesome new Taipan. Even if they were larger ones and could only fit in the largest type of fighter bay.
Or give us some shuttle craft for the fighter bays.
