Support ship viability

Okay chaps,

Nice easy question seen as Im looking at finally getting into the whole Thargoid stuff properly with regards to them now finally impacting the BGS.

"Would a fleet support ship like the one below be of benefit to a 4 man wing, and is there anything missing, or could be improved over time?"

You couod drop the fuel transfer limpit and 256t cr rack is maybe a wee bit too much. Personally i wouldnt take a type 9 against the thargoids even in a wing but each to their own.

A support ship can certainly be beneficial, but I wouldn't use a T-9 for one, even for NPC content, because a vessel that slow can easily become more of a liability than an asset.

It's a good idea but I think a python or T 10 would be a better platform. It needs to be either tough or fast and t9 is neither. Also, the SRV rack isn't helpful when you and the crew are fighting for your lives.

Found myself the idea of a support FGS interresting. Got a fighter bay, repairs/decomtamination limpets, flaks and multi cannons for the swarms and a large turret beam laser with long range/regeneration sequence to keep the allies shield up (so you can target the tank and beam him without looking much).
