Support tech slot?

(I'm sure this has been answered before, but searching "support tech" pretty much leads you to any thread in the support forum ><)

There's this support tech slot on my cobra, I can put a docking computer on it.

I'm not an old lady who needs cameras to park her car, though.

Is there anything else than a docking computer that could be put in this slot at the moment? Or is it condemned to remain a slot for an old lady computer at this state of the beta? Thanks :)

in previous beta stages, there was a repair unit...which has vanished since B1

Sadly, they took out the AFM for one reason or another. I guess to test out the distress signal and docking computer. Maybe there will be another slot for support equipment and they will bring back the AFM. Maybe they will do away with the support slot and just make it all modules. We just don't know.

It would be a good place to put a high powered planetary scanner for the exploring side of things I suppose.

To be honest though, I do wonder why the K warrant scanner and the the Cargo scanner are not considered support tech and have to go in the slots I want to put the point defence turrets in.
