Summary
System: Colonia
Station: Jaque's Station (Orbis Starport, large pads available, 1,460 Ls from main star, 22,000 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Ceramic Composites, Computer Components and Thermal Cooling Units
Time limit: 14th October 3307 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Delivery campaigns in the Alcor and Colonia systems aim to improve journeys to the distant colonies.
The Colonia Bridge project is being funded by Brewer Corporation, which outlined the details in a press release:
The Colonia region has great potential for businesses and travellers, but the long voyage can be prohibitive. Brewer Corporation is investing in the transportation infrastructure between the core systems and Colonia, to make crossing those thousands of light years easier.
Up to 30 dockable megaships will be placed along the route to Colonia, providing travellers with valuable respite and resources including tritium. These stationary megaships should be operational by the 28th of October, and will mark the completion of the first phase of the three-phase Colonia Bridge project. Its aim is to place dockable megaships every four to five hundred light years working out from the Alcor and Colonia systems.
To achieve this, we require large quantities of Ceramic Composites, Computer Components and Thermal Cooling Units. These can be delivered to Jaques Station in the Colonia system.
Brewer Corporation has confirmed that as well as offering payment for the materials, it will ask the top ten contributors at Alcor and Colonia to submit potential names for the new dockable megaships. Submissions will be subject to review by the Brewer Corporation board of directors.
The Colonia Council is subsidising this part of the initiative, due to the importance of this enterprise. As a consequence, the commodity requirements for the megaships at Jaques station are reduced.
Each tier reached will enable Brewer Corporation to add the following to the Colonia Bridge route for the 28th of October 3307.
  • Tier 1: 1 dockable megaship
  • Tier 2: 1 additional dockable megaship
  • Tier 3: 1 additional dockable megaship
  • Tier 4: 1 additional dockable megaship
  • Tier 5: 1 additional dockable megaship
Additionally, Brewer Corporation will offer reductions to Fleet Carriers and Fleet Carrier outfitting at Jaques Station in the Colonia system, based on the tier reached. These will last for one week starting on Friday the 15th of October 3307.
Tier 1 will provide a 10% discount. Each additional tier will provide a further 5% discount, up to a maximum of 30%.
The campaign begins on the 7th of October 3307 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Ceramic Composites, Computer Components and Thermal Cooling Units to Jaques Station in the Colonia system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Jaques Station is at planet 4
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Black Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Tech. Broker, Interstellar Factors, Fleet Carrier Vendor/Admin, Social Space

NEW CG IN COLONIA
omg omg omg
where is my helmet
has anyone seen ian doncaster? i bet he has triple computer components charts.
phew, i can gank

Good luck to anyone trying to park a carrier in Colonia to get the discounted optional service installations... it's already full most of the time. I don't imagine Alcor will be any better. FDev, if you're listening, I'd suggest making that discount apply in more carrier admin systems, otherwise it'll be like Rackham's for the week.

Ditto Alcor will be filled pretty quickly with decommissioned carriers, so adding discounted services there may be a lottery. For many, possibly not be worth the effort for a few hundred million of savings.

I travelled out to Colonia a few weeks ago. I did so in three fairly short sessions, using the ingame neutron star routing rather than spansh, and "overnighting" at one of the existing en-route stations between sessions. I didn't have any trouble picking suitable locations to break my journey.

According to the Wiki:

there are currently 17 systems with 20 star ports between the Bubble and Colonia.

I can't see the utility of these additional megaships being anything other than marginal. I suppose if someone sets out to take their carrier to Colonia having incorrectly calculated the amount of tritium needed, megaships with tritium supplies would come in handy. I'm sure that'll happen at least once a year.

Now if the reward had been a dockable megaship travelling between the Bubble and Colonia....

2 things i realised: 1, a 30% discount means a 3.5 billion buy price, not bad. 2, if the Tritium supply from the megaships are high, Colonia might not be dry for long, depending on what happens there end.
Just reposting this from the other CG thread so everyone can see.

Anyone flying a FC out to Colonia from the bubble to do the CG? Wouldn't mind a lift for an alt ... I knew I shouldn't have suicidewindered back last time I went out ...

Colonia has no parking spaces free at this time. Got a lot of tonnage to contribute quickly, but can't because idle Commodores.
