Supporting a game

As the many others i like this game. Sometimes this is a love&hate relationship, but i still like it.
However, game have no monthly fee and is not pay2win (thanks GOD), but FDev needs money. Money = developing. The most of you is going to work, have money, so devs from FD also need them, for a food, home, families, just like You.

To be clear. Game is not expensive. Even without a discount a base is 25 Eur.

What will bring money and popularity to Elite? Paintjobs? Yes and no. Painjobs is something for You, but the thing what will bring popularity (and money) is the playerbase.
More players = more skins sold, more game sold, more populated galaxy, bigger community and more inertion to FDev. Bigger inertion means less easy2win decisions.

As i mentioned, we are 30+ in most. We are not poor students, so we can afford to spent 25 EUR sometimes (it depends of Your good will).

By this move you can bring new players, money for developing process, better game experience for Yourselves:

Just buy sometimes a game for Your friend. If 25 Eur is too much for you - then wait for some discount and make a surprise to Your best friend.

Right on!

You know what'd be cool?

Do something akin to Blizzard's Recruit-A-Friend program in World of Warcraft.

If you buy the game as a gift, you get a unique paint job.

If instant ship transfer goes ahead FD will not be getting a single penny from me ever again.

Don't worry. They'll have a lot of good word of mouth around those who don't frequent the forums but play the game for fun instead of forum flame wars, which should draw in some doubters who shy away from the game due to it being taunted as 'a hard game to get into'.

We'll see how it goes, won't we?

Maybe decisions like that influes from the fact they need to bring more casuals, or more players at all, what is obvious. So if you bring your friends to the game, then MAYBE there be less decisions like this :)

Even if i do not like some decisions, i played this game almost 2000 hours. It deserves a more what i payed for that, in comprasition to NoManSky or any other game i played.
