So I have a mission to get a occupied escape pod on the surface so I land in these blue circles that I find but I dont really know if I do land in them as they disappear when you get closer to the ground and when I get into my srv I go around looking at this scanner which I dont really know how to use :S and follow the markers on it but every time I get close or something like that it disappear or I just find stupid rocks so I dont know how to find the occupied escape pod can someone please tell me how I can complete this mission?

I believe I have just figured this out myself. Minerals & synthesis ingredients create contacts low down the scanner. Man-made objects (salvage items) seem to create contacts at 75% up the height of the scanner. Look for 'thin vertical fingers' and follow, follow them until they resolve. Do not be surprised if you have to travel 8-15km out to find mission objectives.
You may also come across mining installations this way -- which often draw the eye off in the distance because they are illuminated.

But everytime I follow the high onces they disappear after a while and then they are lost
