Surface missions

I had a courier mission to Crouch Reach in the LFT 682 system. As had happened twice before, when I get there, there are NO surface stations on any of the right planets! Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

You have to scan the planet the mission is going to in order for the surface station to show up. The system map should have a mission marker showing you which planet it is.

You may need to get a basic discovery scanner to find the base, unfortunately. The guy you took the mission from is obviously insane and hopes you won't actually complete it. So he trolls you by not giving you mission critical information which he obviously possesses.

Thanks guys. I've got both the basic discovery scanner and the bigger one for analysing solar systems. However I never got a marker showing me which planet the mission was actual on...

get an advanced scanner, this saved me last night with same issue until i fired it off and voila.
