Surface ports - Great work devs

Just finished a tour of the latest Sirius ports, all the ports are in stunning locations (Like engineer locations) not sure if the devs or community chose the areas, anyway excellent work.

Also noticed the ports are located on planets with rare materials and a healthy amount of trucking and combat missions to be found.

The only let down is still a lack of long range missions, especially at the more remote ports like in HIP 8396: These are perfect areas for long range missions back to the bubble, the BGS is capable of generating these high value missions, why are they not in the game? Seems like a wasted opportunity.

I miss the long range missions too. Not the massive payout beyond the bubble stuff, just the local ones within the bubble. I used to just take one after the other & meander around the bubble, going whichever way the missions took me.

I guess they are difficult to balance & will eventually return, or maybe they just weren't that popular & skimmer & massacre missions take priority now :(

It's always struck me as odd that in a game which offers you a whole galaxy to play in, so much of the mechanics - a preponderance of short range missions, the need to be allied with local factions, and now the in-game trading tools - seems to be one might almost think deliberately conceived to encourage you to stay put in your own little corner of that galaxy.

That logic work the other way around too though ;) If players tend to stay put the transaction server might have been told to prioritise the more popular missions.

Thanks driver, I do miss the find escape pods missions on the surfaces, why remove diversity in this way, or really I mean I'd like more planet missions I guess. Anything that adds diversity and complexity to missions would be good in my book. How's things friendo?
