what about surface book? i7?

Oddly enough, i do have an i7 16gb ram, 512gb ssd surfacebook. It can run planet coaster, but pen/touchscreen support is very poor right now. The i7 surface book generally has the intel AND a discrete Nvidia gpu. Microsoft calls it a dGPU. You'll need to force the game to run on the dgpu via the nvidia control panel.

Excellent. I've been stalling buying one, waiting for some confirmation that the GPU can hack it. I'd use a mouse of course.

Need to note that the Surfacebook is a 3000x2000 pixel screen. Simply put, the dGPU on the SB will have a seriously difficult time rendering a decent amount of FPS at that resolution. 1920x1080 was much more smoother... granted, your screen ends up with the letterbox-effect.[happy]

thanks!

If you don't want it to look like the letterbox effect you ca place it in 1920x1080 full screen and then switch to window mode and stretch it to fill the screen. It seems to just allow you to have more visible space without actually changing the resolution as if you are changing field of view.

Hi mds713,

I happen to have that specific Surface Pro 3 with the Intel i3 processor. I have just completed a test to see if the device can run Planet Coaster with graphics settings on low.
The outcome of the test: I would not recommend playing Planet Coaster on a Surface Pro 3 with Intel i3 processor. It does run the game, but even with the graphics settings on low and the screen resolution on a very low 800x600, the game has a FPS count that is so low that it will likely not be enjoyable to play the game. Also note that on 800x600, the user interface of the game becomes clutched together and is not easily usable anymore.

Picture taken for proof that I have a Surface Pro 3:
