Surface Prospecting - scooped up Material not appearing in Inventory

Hey all,

I'm just doing a little surface prospecting - haven't done any since before 3.0 - and I've run into something a little odd...

I ran out of Selenium while doing some Shield Engineering. No big issue as there are planetary bodies in the same system with Selenium present. So, I head to a nearby station, pick up an SRV bay and four SRV's and off I go.

After about 15 minutes of gathering less valuable stuff, I finally destroy an Outcrop that yielded, among some lesser stuff, one Selenium Rock. Nice. I check my Materials Inventory as I wasn't sure how much one pick-up gives - it used to be three didn't it? - and, to my surprise, there's ZERO Selenium in my material inventory!

So, is this a known issue? Should I re-log to see if the material appears? I definitely picked up the targetted rock and it said it was Selenium. I should have guessed it was too good to be true, finding the one material I desperately needed after just a few minutes lol.

Has anyone else seen this? I was quite enjoying prospecting, however the prospect - pun intended - of me finding more stuff I need, scooping it up only to have it not appear in my inventory is worrying.

Edit: I suspect there's some sort of server delay occurring. I carried on prospecting - discovering no more Selenium so far - yet checking my inventory now, I have three Selenium. How odd!

Cheers,

Scoob.

It's a desynch issue. The material is there. If you get back to your ship, it should show up after you boarded it. Guess re-logging should do the trick, too. But don't worry, it's there.

Thanks. I did just do an edit to say it appeared after a short while. Now I know not to worry when things don't appear right away I can have a more relaxed prospecting experience :)

Switching from material to data and back again should fix it. Its just a display issue.

Thanks for the tip!

Can you tell I've not done much prospecting? Lol.

Edit: I just found some more Selenium, this time however it showed up right away. I guess I'd perhaps been lucky in the past and hadn't experienced the delay, hence my slight puzzlement this time :)
