Surprise Mode?

You can have nice ideas under the shower , and now I am just curious about what you think of this one:

In some of the carreer scenario's we get animals in the 'surprise box'.
I thought it would be nice to have that in an other play mode too.
Call it Surprise mode, or maybe it can be added to Challenge mode ( with the option to turn it off).

I see it as a challenge:
You start a zoo, and you don't know wich animals you get for your zoo!
A random species appears in the surprisebox and you have to place it before you can get another species, and the market is closed. You can only release the babies ,not selling them.
This is until a certain amount of species is in the zoo. Like...14 or something like that.
After that the market goes open. (unless you don't want that?)
From that moment you should have the choice to keep getting new animals in de surprise box, or not.

I could be a real challenge if you are getting a polar bear if you start, but who knows it will work!

What do you think?

sounds good, i only played challenge mode to unlock the sculptures, your idea would be a reason for me to play it again. but i dont know, how it would work with franchise mode.

I like that idea, it would be a challenge but in a good way. But the example of a polar bear is a good one as to how it could slip to being impossibly hard. I'm not sure how anyone could financially make that one work. I'd probably close out without saving. But for most animals it could work. Maybe it could have a difficulty setting as well, like franchise.

I actually just had another thought on this. We can sort of do this now if we really want. Bring down the filter field tab and close your eyes and then pick whatever comes up. If at any time it's an animal you've already picked you can pick another.

Thinking of the polar bear;
of course Frontier could choose to limit the possible species to start with, ( except in hard mode )
But taking a loan could be a possible choice. We hardly have to use that option normally, and after all it is a challenge.
So I think it can be a good thing that we will be forced to use it sometimes.
Keeping the market for exhibit animals open, could also give a possible solution.
Probably it wil have to stay open anyway , because we can't get any exhibit animals in the surprise box.

And if you really don't want to try anything of this; you always can close the zoo again and start over again, it wil bring another animal to start with.
After all you were just starting and ( almost) nothing is in your zoo yet.
