Hello fellow explorers!
On my way back from Beagle Point, I made a month-long survey of an area known as The Segnao Starburst. First identified by Andrew Gaspurr during the Distant Worlds 3302 expedition, this area is very high in star density for it's location outside the galactic core, and filled with multiple high-mass subclusters. The general area is between three nebula (Leviathan, Veil of Inanna, Flaming Torch) and is approximately 17k Ly due north of Colonia.
This cluster has not been very well explored at all - I found almost every high-mass "h" class system to be unvisited. The Segnao sector and surrounding sectors are rich in these high-mass stars and there are many opportunities to find rare and unusual phenomena. There are a large number of Herbig Ae/Be stars, which have unusual system compositions. This would be a prime exploration location for solo explorers or a small expedition. Included below are some of my discoveries of this area.
Segnao EB-X f1-852: A 37 earth-mass ammonia world orbiting a Herbig Ae/Be.
Phrae Gria AA-A h0: A N-class Wolf Rayet star orbited by two huge B-class stars, with 346 and 294 solar radii
Phrae Gria AA-A g2 - Erik's World : A ringed earth-like world orbiting a neutron star and black hole!
Phrae Gria ZE-A g2 - Hades Depot: A jumponium depot system orbiting a black hole.
Segnao AA-A h42 - A super-cool Wolf-Rayet of 728 kelvin.
Phrae Gria GG-V D3-103 - Ōku Nami: M-class star features a whopping 4 water worlds, 2 which are terraformable
Segnao AA-A h38 - The Devil's Dozen: High mass Herbig with blackhole, and in orbit 7 lava-type heavy-metal worlds with thick water atmospheres; an ammonia world with life; a terraformable heavy metal world; and a massive water-world in co-orbit with a gas giant bearing water-based life. The water-world is more massive than the gas giant.
