Surviving Mars - Free on Epic Store this week

In case there's anyone left here who hasn't already got the Epic Games app popping up with that weekly notice...

"Surviving Mars" is now free to grab for Windows and Mac OS X until Thursday 17th October, 10:59AM EDT.

Minimum Requirements: 4th Generation Intel i3 CPU, 4GB Ram and 6GB HDD space.
(This is a 2-Core 3.4GHz CPU, so maybe my older 4-Core potato might just about still manage OK... we shall see...)

Surviving Mars is a sci-fi city builder all about colonizing Mars and surviving the process. Choose a space agency for resources and financial support before determining a location for your colony. Build domes and infrastructure, research new possibilities and utilize drones to unlock more elaborate ways to shape and expand your settlement. Cultivate your own food, mine minerals or just relax by the bar after a hard day’s work. Most important of all, though, is keeping your colonists alive. Not an easy task on a strange new planet.

There will be challenges to overcome. Execute your strategy and improve your colony’s chances of survival while unlocking the mysteries of this alien world. Are you ready? Mars is waiting for you.

Be sure to check the list of DLC's below the main game too... these two are also free:

Surviving Mars: Mysteries Resupply Pack

Just when you think you have a handle on your resource management, the weird and wonderful mysteries of space travel come knocking at your dome: Mysteries Resupply Pack, the new free content pack for Surviving Mars, adds three new mysteries for players to investigate and survive.

New mysteries afflicting the colonies on Mars include:

St. Elmo's Fire - Colonists find it hard to get a good night’s sleep, especially when mysterious lights begin appearing where they have no reason to be. What is causing these unexpected apparitions and is it connected to the confusing changes in the water supply?

The Philosopher's Stone - Encounter beings that are a far cry from the fleshy bags we call carbon-based life when the colony stumbles upon entirely crystalline entities. Are they here to be of assistance or only out to protect the family jewels?

Metatron - Colonists look to the sky agape as a great floating monolith has parked itself directly above your fledgling colony. Does it come in peace or is it even sentient? Either way, it is certainly blocking the views from the dome!

Surviving Mars: Space Race
The Race to Stake Your Place in Space has Begun
Compete for milestones and anomalies with several other AI colonies backed by rival sponsors attempting to become this planet’s superpower. You can trade with, respond to distress calls for, issue distress calls to, and even steal important colonists from these competitor colonies as you establish your territory on Mars.

(I think that part 2+ requires the next major/paid DLC for the game...)
