Hey everyone! Introducing my Planet Zoo project; Swan Valley Zoo!

My name is Rossco and I'm actually a zookeeper in real life! I currently live and work in Melbourne, Australia and I have been a zookeeper for over 6 years now working with a great variety of species. I like to use my lifetime passion and interest in Zoos to give me a special perspective and inform how I'm building Swan Valley Zoo. My goal is to have it be a semi-realistic, high budget, Zoo of my dreams- hopefully yours too!

Swan Valley Zoo is a realistic sandbox zoo set in the Swan Valley region of Western Australia- my hometown!

The Entrance Tour | Swan Valley Zoo - Episode 1​

In the first episode we tour a big chunk of the start of the Zoo, including the entrance, gift shop, staff & maintenance areas, a discovery centre, the Flamingo Pools exhibit and the Giraffe and Zebra exhibit.

The Wildlife Hospital, Quarantine and Food Store | Swan Valley Zoo - Episode 2​

In the second episode we tour a massive Wildlife Hospital and Vet Clinic, adjacent to this we have the food store and an extensive quarantine facility. All of this is to support what will eventually be a massive zoo with a lot of needs!

What's New at Swan Valley Zoo | Episode 2.5 | Swan Valley Zoo News​

For episode 2.5 I tried something different, as a short, in-between episodes update to create a bit of story and progression to the Zoo in between larger episodes. Let me know what you think and if I should continue making these .5 episodes!

Africa: The Savannah & Restaurant | Swan Valley Zoo - Episode 3​

In this massive episode we tour a beautiful elevated restaurant overlooking the Giraffe and newly created Savannah exhibits. Using the in-game restaurants I was very proud of the functionality of this build. The 3-segment Savannah exhibit is impressive and has working barns for all 4 species involved.

Africa: Cheetah Outlook | Swan Valley Zoo - Episode 4​

In the latest episode of Swan Valley Zoo we check out the newly complete Cheetah exhibits. This exhibit is composed of two displays, separately housing our female and male Cheetah, Kamaria and Jahi.
There is mixed indoor outdoor viewing, including plenty of billboard education and diverse viewing opportunities.
As always, this exhibit has a functional back of house and den area for the animals. I have created fully traversable, realistic dens for the animals to use. Hope you enjoy the detail that went into these parts!
