Switch version

Before the naysayers get out there pitchfork and torches lemme tell ya Warframe came on there some y’all underestimate what the switch can do I have seen panic button perform miracles mr. Braden if your reading this contact A guy named Kirk Scott of the Dev Relations team. Look if your that concerned look at some other games panic button did with the platform holders hekp

I'll echo Lestat and say that the specs would make a Switch version of ED very difficult to accomplish, with little opportunity to expand the player base.

I think you're more likely to see the Switch's successor playing ED, which I'm sure will be a fuller experience by then...you know...4-5 years from now.

That said, if FDEV wants to get on Switch and allow linked accounts so players can jump in, I'm more than happy to pay $60 for the latest version of the game. I also love the idea of what crazy Nintendo Labo stuff could be made to turn Joy-Cons into a flight stick and thruster.

Ya know fdev panic buttons an option. As my mum once said “what you find challenging in bringing a game over, just ask for help” my point is just cause the specs are lower doesn’t mean it’s not possible. You need teamwork between you guys and panic button

I’d suggest marketing the possible switch version as f2p cause not many ppl are going to stomach a 60 buck game with microtransactions. Do you know how eve makes money? Ding ding cosmetics

Hay dooley422 I think we have to use realistic expectations not look at something from a fantasy. We can look at the new build for Elite dangerous Requires 21 GB of space. The Switch has 32 GB. That leaves 11 GB left for other stuff. Also, Games need a cache to run a game like a temporary storage.

There is no NMS-port to the Switch either, a different game with different requirements sure, but both require a lot of computational power for the surface generation alone. Few will be interested in a version that does not include Horizons. Even fewer will be interested in a version that works but looks really really bad.
It requires a reliable network connection as well, so the main benefit of the Switch, the mobility it provides (which restricts the processing power and the quality too) would be ignored.

The only game I have seen was able to run on all platforms and it seems the cell phone or tablet is a lesser version is Minecraft.
