switching between warthog and keyboard?

is there a way to keep my key mappings for my keyboard, and switch back and forth to my warthog?
Last time I tried, I lost all my key mappings. I have 6000ly to get home before they clamp on the 10% penalty on components, may as well get some stick time in, but if I want to go back I don't want to have to waste time re-mapping.
Am I missing something easy?

It's not clear from your description exactly what the problem is, but if you haven't already looked, your warthog bindings probably can be located as a .binds file in a subfolder somewhere in the rough vicinity of either [user]/AppData/Local/Frontier Developments/... or Program Files (x86)/Frontier/EDLaunch/Products/... (or places like that, depending on your OS and where you installed)

Look at binds files by date. If you find one that was created at roughly the right time (ie probably whenever you last tweaked your warthog controls), make a backup of it :)

You can make a batch file to do the copy very easily, and perhaps map that to a keyboard macro in-game? I'm not sure how often Elite checks the bindings though, wether you have to open up Options / Control and then use the macro, or if the game will detect the copied file anyway.

I might have to test this out a bit :D

This answers my question... I just wanted to know if there was a way to save bindings... copying the file is easy enough, thanks!
