Switching engineers on same module

Hi cmdrs,

I can only engineer my DSS scanner with Farseer to level 3, other engineers can take it to level 5.

I am about to head over to Farseer to engineer my FSD and have the materials for my DSS also, so if I take my DSS to level 3 with Farseer, once I have managed to unlock an engineer that can take it to level 5, can I just pick up with them to continue it on to level 5, or is it not as simple as that when it comes to engineer rep, etc?

Also, does it matter about the order as I haven't got enough mats to get my FSD all the way to 5, so when it comes to blueprints aren't there restrictions as after this trip (unless you advise otherwise) I'll have FSD at 4 and will want to blueprint that and DSS at 3, but guessing I can't blueprint that also from Farseer?

You can just carry on, you don't need to start over.

IIRC, if you blueprint FSD range 5 from the Farseer, you can blueprint a DSS from a different engineer.
