.... or Open. Why not just remove the Solo option altogether?
Why? What is the reasoning?I propose to remove the choice from the menu of the game open and solo. For the place of this in the game control settings add the following settings:
FSD jump - push - Open Game
push and hold (5sec) - Solo Game
(the choice can be swapped)
Thank.
Now it’s almost the same. I fly, they attacked me, jump into another system, switch to the menu, enter the solo, jump back and fly to the desired station. It fine the way it is. I see exploits like if you are being interdicted and you jump to another system Push and hold and switch to solo to avoid being attacked.
And less work on Frontier part.Use block. Then you'll be in Open until you jump into a system with the people you want to avoid, at which time you'll be placed in a separate instance (kinda like Solo). It's the best of both worlds, and it removes the guesswork for you!
Then it’s not very clear why in the game there is a separate open and solo modes ?Use block. ...

I had to use Solo all last winter when my Internet was rubbish. Solo requires way less bandwidth than Open. Then it’s not very clear why in the game there is a separate open and solo modes ?

I was answering the question: "Then it’s not very clear why in the game there is a separate open and solo modes ?" - the FAQ shows that three separate game modes have been Frontier's intention from the very start, nearly seven years ago.Sorry, but I probably don’t understand YOU correctly.
I just made an offer to increase the number of players in the open game.
