Sync files hangs

Odyssey takes about 40GB, Horizons was about 20.

It's frozen again...
It has said 10 minutes to go for about 45 minutes now and it's back to downloading with just 1.2 Mb/s.

So close...

I've stopped the process and pressed 'validate files'. It was stuck on 'Preparing for update' for a couple of minutes and now it's syncing files again but the blue bar is already full and there is no indication of time remaining. It's back to downloading at 1.2-1.3 Mb/s. The launcher is claiming 8.4% of the CPU. Task Manager says it's writing at 350-360 MB/s but when I check the disks the G drive is mostly idle.

I'll give it another hour. Let's assume all files are downloaded and it's writing to RAM to validate everything.

To make matters worse it's on sale on Steam for €5... If only it had been on sale a couple of days ago I'd never have bothered with this launcher. But I paid €60 so I want the launcher to work now anway.

Steam is worse, lots of log in issues too. You don’t want that.

Yeah, I don't think it's possible for me to install Elite: Dangerous with this launcher.

I'll have someone from Frontier take a look with Teamviewer and do the install for me.

Really, never had a login issue myself that wasnt down to Fdev servers/updates.
