Newcomer / Intro sync files takes a long time??

So I just downloaded. and started up the game but Had to shut it down to take care of some errands. When I come back and load it up again it syncs files which takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Is this normal???

Not really. But restarting the launcher should fix this. Maybe you could try to validate the data via launcher options, if you closed the game abruptly, before.
