Ok I know I have seen some discussion on this and quite frankly its all been sorta hit and miss on answers. I will explain the details on our situation.
We are a trio who like to group up in private group play. When only two of us are on , and it does not matter which two. When we are winged , no issues at all. When the third joins we start having issues. Issues are the third person does not see the targets the other two are shooting at. Also time get out of sync when we are a trio. At first we thought it might have something to do with on or the others connection. So we left Elite up in the background and we were grouped and in the same area and visible to each other. We windowed out and brought up the /cmd prompt and typed in ping 8.8.8.8 /t and hit enter which pings google. We monitored our pings to look for line issues. IE request timed out or very bad spikes in latency. None of that happened. We all stayed within 10 ms ping from high to low and never got a request timed out after 5 minutes. Then we said ok , maybe its the route to the server that is causing it , something in between for us. We did the same test and same results ping the elite server. No discrepancies found and no line issues whatsoever.
At this point , we do not know what to do. We all run very clean pc's and we all know how to maintain them , we also are all within 10 minutes drive from each other. The only thing it could be at this point from our test is the Netcode handling of the game when you have more than one other person in a wing. I know others have stated the netcode is poorly done on this but what I'm interested in seeing , is an actual developer coming on here and stating that it is a known issue that they are trying to resolve and honestly I have not seen that yet. I want someone to take responsibility for the flaw so I can at least feel like its being looked into. This sort of flaw is a game breaker for me until its fixed. I love the game and most everything about it but if you cant group up with your friends and do stuff without sync issues then I have no reason to play it cause I'm in it for the multiplayer coop aspect of it.
