Horizons Synthesis and rare minerals

Has anyone managed to find enough of the rare minerals to synthesise the buffed ammunition? I use primarily multicannons and was interested to try out the new ammo in a RES site. However after visiting hundreds of outcrops and metallic meteorites etc, I've yet to stumble across the extra the final ingredient (selenium I think). I can synthesise the basic load out easily....in fact I think I have enough for about 20 refills lol. The same for all the other kinds of ammo....I'm only ever able to synthesise the basic reload. I was wondering if maybe there is some correlation between the type of planet visited and what materials you are more likely to find.
 
You only get the 'buff' for one magazine so it isn't worth it.

Yeah I realise that....was just wondering if anyone had managed to stumble across the correct elements. The basic reloads are actually quite useful (and plentiful) because it means it means I don't have to return to a station to reload when I'm at a profitable RES site. The rare elements though just seem to be a little too rare.....in fact they are so rare that they aren't really worth looking for in my experience.
 
Look on different planets, each planet has limited amount of minerals. In fact only one very rare material can be found on each planet.
While searching for polonium for FSD boosts i found enough materials for premium plasma/rail ammo, but did not found very rare material needed for premium MC reload.
If you find right planet and remember its name it will not be that hard to collect materials even for premium reloads.

Remember each gun has to be reloaded, so to reload 4 multis on a ship you need 8 basic refills or 4 premium... In other words crafting is atm just a basic filler wich takes ages to grind mats for.

Fuel injection? Unless there is a gap in space where systesms are 50ly away or more its useless. The time it takes you to grind the mats for extr jump range is greater then just jumping several times with a fuel scoop the normal way.

All crafting prices need to be halved or outcrop etc drop rate doubled ( the amount of material you get from one node).

Also not being able to store more then 300 is kind of stupid. (if not on ship then on stations)
 
This is not true. I found, for example, Vanadium and Zirconium on the same planet.
Both Vanadium an Zirconium are "common" materials, not "very rare" ones:

I've reached the space limit for materials, I've got enough for 1 fsd jump and one cannon reload. I can repair refuel and rearm the srv multiple times.
Crafting needs to be looked at to make it more useful, there is no need to repair / refuel or rearm the srv when in normal space.
