SYS pip & Module Priority Settings

I've noticed that if my SYS capacity is depleted, usually when my shields are recharging, my utilities go offline due to "Low Power" shown in red.

I have set the module priority of some utilities like chaff and heat sinks to "2", and my shields and shield boosters to "3".

I know its the distributor and not my powerplant, but it would be good if my distributor took notice of these preferences.

Try keeping only your Shield gen, Power Dist and Thrusters on Priority 1. Then for Priority 2 All weapons, Chaff, and sensors. Then your shield boosters, Life support on 3 and then all other combat non-essentials like FSD, other scanners, etc on 4.

See if that helps out, you might have too much going on in your first priority other than just what you mentioned and then see how it works...

The only modules at priority 1 are thrusters and FSD. That's just because if my powerplant gets hit, and reduces my capacity, I have the best possible chance to jump out.
I appreciate the reply, but I dont see how your suggestion would divert power to my higher priority utilities and keep them online, instead of recharging the lower priority shields with whatever charge is left in SYS without adding any pips.

That was just a starting point of the general module priorities. You have to start simple. Then once that happens you can dive a little deeper into your issue. But start off with the basics first...
