For the love of the maker, I can't find a thread on this topic. Please link if you know what I'm looking for.

I have heard that each pip to SYS adds a shield strength bonus to your, well, shields.

Does anyone know the precise numbers? I need them for the planning of a revised ship build.

There is no point to have anything other than 4 pips to shields. 4 pips will make your shields 2.5x as strong (you take 40% damage).

3 pips gives you something like 1.1x or something completely useless like that. That's why you'll see people talking about "4 pips" being so important
