As the System Architect of a settlement a couple of enhancements come to mind:
1) Grant the architect a level three clearance for and settlements created. This would further enhance the "ownership" of the settlement.
2) After being scanned by the ground security personnel, assuming the scan was good, it would be rewarding if the guard recognized the commander as the architect and welcome the commander to the settlement. This just rewards the commander for the work done in building the settlement.
Just a couple of thoughts that separate a system architect from any other visitor to a settlement.
