"System Colonisation Suite" module

OK, I may be being stupid, but where do I get hold of a "System Colonisation Suite" module ? Staked my claim, got the system I want, ready to go ... bar one minor obstacle

(edit - tried a stronghold carrier, can't obviously find one there)

You're going to need those 4 weeks too, the amount of resources for the bigger stations are nuts. Also the CMM Composite requirements are going to be an issue, needing ten thousand or more and each settlement has maybe a couple hundred max to buy.

Everything is reasonable other than those composites. I wonder if the new supply ships from the CG will help with that

Just the long way of either going to the galaxy map, then the system map, then clicking on the colonization ship or going directly to it on the galaxy map from the missions tab under transactions.

Are there any actual instructions in-game as to how to set up colonies, time limits (for example, how do people on here know that you have four weeks to set up your colony?), materials needed.... or do we have to use trial and error?

Yes the game gives you instructions. Once you start your colony you get a mission which has a time limit. The colonisation ship itself and the system view of the colonisation ship both show you the needed materials.

I've asked a couple of questions on here to find out info. But before you 'buy' the colonisation beacon, it tells you that you have 24hrs to deploy it (it also tells you that in System Colinisation overview in Galactic Map). Also, when configuring what type of station to build, it shows what resources are required. The system you have selected to colonise has a blue mission marker on it, along with a blue mission marker at the location where you deploy the beacon. Once the beacon is deployed, it comes up saying you have 4 weeks to deliver the resources.

Once you drop the beacon the colony ship will arrive and you will see the amount of time that you have. This is also in the colony ships menu when you dock and transfer commodities.

You can also see this in your system map when you click on the colony icon (looks like a capital buildings dome with a flag) as well as what commodities you need to complete the station.

I highly recommend you start with an outpost if you're solo as it will take about 10 hours to complete with a T-9 carrying 700 tons.

Also, if you don't know about the website Inara, find it as it make finding things easier.

CMM composites will slow you down but the places you buy it at will have other things you need more of like steel and titanium in abundance... Go for the composites, finish filling up on other items.

Good luck commander!

Yes, I love Inara; I use it all the time. Great call.

And thanks everyone for the pointers. Much appreciated :)
