I highly recommend you start with an outpost if you're solo as it will take about 10 hours to complete with a T-9 carrying 700 tons.

A question arises from this, then: if I build an Outpost, is that going to be a problem for my T-9 as Outposts can't dock a 'Large' ship, and the T-9 is Large?

It shouldn’t be - construction/delivery is handled from/by a specialized construction yard or something such (after initial colonization with the big colonization ship is complete).

It will be an insurmountable obstacle if you want to land at the Outpost with the T-9. During the build it's not an issue as the System Colonisation Ship has lots of large pads.

Initially, you will be unloading at a megaship... I assume that if you begin construction on another station the colony ship will reappear so you can deliver materials... I would hate to do a corrolis station from a medium ship!

As far as I understand, yes. My own is only 5% complete yet but it should be fine to begin with an outpost if you don’t habe the available free time for a large station.

Fdev have just confirmed in the live stream they are amending the CMM Composite availability

I see there's a load of Fleet Carriers hogging the CMM resources, to sell at massively inflated prices.

Why am I not surprised. I wonder if those people do this sort of thing in real life? Probably....
