System Colonization Assistance Megathread

but I'm going to head over and see what I can do
Well, it looks like you made it over there. Any help is of course appreciated, but I am waiting til Tuesday at earliest to start myself (needn’t explain why, do I?). Might cover at least the ceramic composites first, then. [If they haven’t been before I get around]

I would like to ask for some help on the main port

My System: COL 285 SECTOR DY-W B16-4 CANCELLED

Reason to get this System Colonized: I would like to see this System as a refinery and militery sector if posible.
I am not shure what Starport i celected and I dont want to abandon the project but i know that i wont be able to compleat it on my own.

The Port is some what close to the Sun, only about 480 Lightseconds which offers a resonably quick arrivals and low Risk.

Thanks in Advance for any Help provided it is much appreciated.

I had 2 more loads of copper planned but boosting out of the mailslot eventually led to a NPC collision and immediate rebuy from station turrets. Looks like the closest detention centre to you is 1294ly so that will be my lot for now

You have started a Tier 3 Ocellus starport and are 7% complete with 21 days 2 hours remaining

It looks like you have cleared commodities with smaller amounts. If you have a large ship it may speed up slightly now and everything you need is reasonably near. Quantities might run dry and require sourcing elsewhere but plenty of choice nearby
Varley Plant, Atora : CMM Composite, Ceramic Composite, Liquid Oxygen
Grijalva Sanctuary, Pegasi Sector JI-R b5-0 : Titanium, Aluminium, Steel

If a few of us can help out and you speed up somewhat it could be achievable. The alternative is to cancel construction, and in a day or two when it becomes selectable again you could consider a Tier 3 edit: 2 Coriolis (about 1/3 the effort), or a Tier 1 outpost (about 1/9 the effort). See this link for suggestions around refinery with Tier 1 civilian outpost

Edited to correct Coriolis tier. Also, consider the orbital station is relatively unimportant in a refinery (as I understand). Your planetary body has no construction slots so it would be a shame to see you burn out getting an orbital constructed that cannot have a refinery or refinery economy

... that is why I exert some patience when exiting, should I be doing it manually. Besides hoping I didn't miss a stupid Sidewinder that should absolutely care for traffic rules but apparently thinks it has priority over a 2,000 ton Cutter.

Or the hazard that a Dolphin/DBX poses by being near-invisible to a non-long range scanner at ranges that would be appropriate for an environment where ships are close together. At least the former stands out slightly more with its white paint...

This also serving as another reason for local penal colonies to be established once far enough from the Bubble. Maybe once we're out of the beta madness.

Anyway, I'll begin on this come tomorrow or, if we need the CG to end first, Thursday. But don't see why the ARX release would be delayed unless it's for something to be fixed with the ship.

My System: Synuefe OD-S c20-6
Reason: not far way, Earth alike world, goofy looking Artemis station with Imperial color theme (which is the best in the game)

P.S. I am more like inviting to join.

Now laying down a T3 Planetary Port on Synuefe ZV-D C28-5 A 4, will be the capstone of my system development plans, and it needs vast amounts of three metals: Aluminum, Steel, and Titanium. Any assistance helping obtain these 3 commodities will be greatly appreciated. Conveniently, the Primary Port - Jannyx Foundation, Ocellus class orbital port - has sufficient supplies of these metals at very competitive prices, below even the Trailblazer megaship I often use:
Aluminum 1950c
Steel 3460c
Titanium 3960c

The Planetary Construction Site: Satapathy Prominence, offers these buy prices:
Aluminum 3239c
Steel 5057c
Titanium 5360c

Travel distance from Jannyx Foundation to the Construction site is 1702LS. System is medium security. I've not been interdicted even once carrying full cargo loads in this system, though there is an occasional broadcast warning of impending doom that has never been actualized.

If you are a carrier Cmdr, I can recommend parking in orbit next to Jannyx Foundation, filling up on metal(s) with very short travel distances (under 1 LS), and jumping the filled carrier into orbit around the construction site planet for delivery. I do this so I can use my T-9 Heavy to transport goods from source->carrier->site without a lot of travel time that might attract pirates. Pretty sure you'll earn back the 100k jump fee(s) pretty fast. Carrier jump delay is a consideration but there are pristine rings to mine if you enjoy that pastime.

Jannyx Foundation also has a good price on Tritium (49,870c), plus Outfitting and a Shipyard if you're in that market.

Another very large requirement is for CMM Composite. The nearest supply is Jawara Watch, a planetary port ( large pad(s) ) on Pi Tucanae 4 D, 94.6 LY from the site system. Market price there is 5815c, the site buys for 6788c. Not sure of its supply, INARA says over 150k , but I can amend this post if need be after I make a scouting visit. It would mean a lot of ship jumping but only a few carrier rides.

All the other commodities on the list I can handle with my own carrier and T-9, but of course any help with those will also be greatly appreciated.
Quoting myself here so looking for the relevant intel won't be needed. My final construction site is about 23% done, needing the metals mentioned above & CMM Composite. I'm about two weeks behind schedule because I landed in hospital for four days due to a tick bite that hit me with a nasty infection called anaplasmosis which also led to a serious case of sepsis as well. I'm well on the road to 100% recovery but in once again taking up my role as Cmdr, I've found my ancient hands (I'm 72) get awfully sore handling the HOTAS for the hours needed to deliver many thousands of tons. Plus my blood pressure does not need multiple useless interdictions by NPCs thinking they've hit the mother lode even though my cargo hold is completely empty. I mean, c'mon, what a dumb, time-wasting mechanic!

The system is very healthy with a rapidly growing population, my favored faction has a comfortably high influence, so I don't feel great about maybe having to abandon this final construction due to health limitations. Again I emphasize this is NOT a time-critical primary port, just a project that needs more effort than I can comfortably supply at the moment. So if you've some time on your hands and want to turn a fair profit on delivering from the system primary port to the constructions site, your aid would be greatly appreciated.

My carrier is currently in orbit around the site planet, with a fair amount of aluminum on board that I was delivering. I'll open that up for purchase at my cost (same as at Jannyx Foundation station) minus 15% as a small incentive.

Keep 'em flying, commanders! o7

This is my purchased ship, in the beta Coriolis site https://s.orbis.zone/r1hl

First impressions, really impressed. Have done a few cargo runs and will finish my construction before docking on my carrier

Then I'll swap to a DBX and head over to a station near @Yuri John construction, where I will try deploying a Stellar build for the first time. I might remove the shield and scoop to go with a larger cargo. Think I can sell those cargo modules once done and un-deploy. Then repeat after travelling to a station near @Kira Goto

Hello, fellow Commanders.

My name is Vrey and i am currently trying to colonize Wregoe WP-G d10-48.

May my humble self request a little support? i made the daunting decision of building one of the big Starports. 12 trips a day, a 23 minutes per trip, is a bit much for me alone.

I'm not asking for much, but a little off of the gigantic workload would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings, Commanders.

Last time sadly failed. well my bad actually. Starting with a T3 Starport wasn't the smartest ideas.
I am trying again, in the same system but with a T1 Industrial Starport. If anyone like to help, i appreciate it.
Thanks in advance and fly safe out there.

P.S.: Next month i'll get the clipper mk.2 for myself, so it'll be easier for me too. ^^

I have mine on the way now after preparing it in the Bubble… that four hour delivery time kind of stings, but what can you do. I wasn’t going to fly it unengineered and got myself the standard.

Now how to pass the time because I will not be going back to the Bubble again/yet to make a second one for my projects over there. Engineering flight is just tedious.

Quick update and minimal progress on AB Aurigae. I got to a station 42ly away fairly quickly, via my Mandalay rather than DBX

Deployed the Stellar version, found the station only had C1 and C2 racks. Decided to leave the ship as-is and jump to AB Aurigae with cargo. Something like 9 laden jumps. 3 unladen jumps to another station 36ly away, swap shield scoop and SCA for cargo racks. 8 laden jumps back. Didn't want to engineer the FSD and nearest FSD booster 358ly away. Suppose I could have taken the one from the Mandalay but still going to be more jumps than ideal

Despite the 110k ls construction distance (only 1-2 minutes extra and about 20% fuel use) I decided many jumps was a bad idea as each load was taking 4-5 times longer than with the purchased and engineered ship. Sold the Stellar version and will consider if I deploy and engineer it for permanent use or just deploy it for short haul < 15ly

I'll return with the purchased and engineered version another time. Distances > 150ly I expected the Type-9 to remain superior, but the Panther destroys it there too. I tried C4 FSD booster and C5 scoop before swapping to C4 scoop and C5 FSD booster but either way the engineered Panther works well. I can't see any area the Type-9 is competitive other than costs, or the Type-9 trading jumpstart if you must deploy and sell regularly

Oh and I left the docking computer on for science. Don't rely on it with an unshielded ship. 77% hull after 1 incident at which point I took control back

Imagine Felicity's waiting room, with no Highlights Magazine or National Geographics...

This is why deflectors were invented. I long since accepted the reduction in capacity. The new ship has a 6A shield, and boosters.

Why? Random encounters with other players is one of the best parts in this game. And if you meet some Griefer/Ganker/"Pseudo PvPler" you can block them. (The forgotten feature.) Open mode is the real expierence. o7
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant that I don't play with friends online at least 98% of the time. I still play in open

thank you for the heads up and recommendation

I'll aid how I can if you decide to proceed

Ships - see Fleet link if you want further details
Spent today engineering my Stellar PC; Spice Runner, replacing only the SCA with a class 2 Guardian FSD booster (and re-purchasing a class 5 cargo module after deciding class 5 FSD Booster wasn't required). Rebuy cost about 44k and 1040 cargo capacity. At some point that will be used to help Yuri John

My purchased PC; Gridrunner, has a 28m rebuy and 1124 cargo capacity. Started to take that to Kira Goto 10 minutes ago as that orbital is progressing quicker, but after 2 jumps decided to hold fire until tomorrow evening in case another Community Goal arrives

That would’ve been me doing the most painful part first of taking CMM composites to the site. Or starting to. Even with the Panther (mine runs 1,120 cargo) it’s still a lot.

… and I’m not going to do more than ~10k per session on it probably unless in a very particular mood allowing me to commit further. Probably also not a terrible idea to wait for potential CGs but I guess the next one’s going to be Powerplay again. Whether combat or otherwise, that is harder to predict (though I might expect so if it’s Torval vs Pranav. Anyway.
