System Data from Outposts and Stations, not just Nav Beacon

Scanning a Nav Beacon gives all the system body info.
Great, I like that mechanic.
See previous post about explorers dropping nav Beacons.

But, if I land at a station, which has vastly superior tech and facilities than a beacon, why can't I also automagically get the system map?

Seems logical. If I can find a station and land, Nav data free just like from the Nav Beacon.

Not trying to circumvent the Nav Beacon pirate shooting, but other than that FD never implemented more Nav Beacon game-play. So, that's another topic I commented on in above referenced post... add explorers needing to drop nav beacon mechanic before any star past jump range shows up on the gal-map (being able to see the entire galaxy makes no sense, except maybe from an education tool perspective and ED isn't quite space engine when we move across the galaxy map).

If you are at a station you can log onto galaxy map and buy system data.
