System Defense Force in the deep.

I’m cruising on a moon around a gas giant in the Eol Prou region, several hundred light years from Colonia and I find a System Defensw Force Cobra parked on the moon. What the heck? I’m investigating but I’m worried they will turn unfriendly. Anyone ever seen something like that?

Yea...its random. Not sure the metric, but can see them up to a particular distance from civilized systems.

Damn. I thought I had stumbled onto an in-game mystery. I was cruising around them real slow with my turrets off trying to see if anyone was around.

Nah, they don't do anything unless you attack like any system def ship. I liken them to just being deep patrols.

It’s always fun when they’re in ships that could not have reached said system.
